Who Is Smarter?
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much…
You know…
The wheel, New York, wars, and so on, and so on, and so on…
Whilst all the dolphins had ever done…
Was muck about in the water having a good time.
But conversely the dolphins believed themselves to be more intelligent than man…
For precisely the same reasons.”
“Hmmm…”
Personally… I think I will side with the dolphins on this one…
I just happen to like their outlook
You?

Hi John!
I got curious when I caught the word dolphins in your post. Yeah, they’re smart, intelligent big fish mammals (hey, I’m not a natural scientist so I described it the way I perceive dolphins. . .anyways…) on top of that, dolphins are very friendly.
I would love to be a dolphin! = )
Ambers last blog post..And the Oscar Goes to . . . . . ! ! !
Thanks for the ad, John!
Ever seen the film Contact and read its book version? I’ll try to find that book you mentioned.
Have a great weekend and happy blogging!

Hey John, let’s see, I read Hitchhiker’s Guide way back in high school or so when the book first came out and I’ve got the same question now as I had back then:
If Dolphins are so smart, how come they keep ending up in tuna nets?
Matt Urdans last blog post..Number One at Last!
I can only assume Matt..
those dolphins were the really “smart” one’s..
in the (sci-fi) book.. they were smarter than man, and they were here to warn us humans of the impending destruction of earth…
their attempt to communicate with man through back- flips and swimming patterns was thought to be no more than the dolphins “mucking around having a grand ol’time”….
Distraught over their failed mission and the impending doom…
Some were rumored to have committed suicide…
hence the “tuna nets”…
ok…
I know it’s a “stretch”, but it’s the best I could do..
J
ps: I “still” like their attitude… who wouldn’t enjoy “mucking around all day having a good time”
